Her Majesty Queen Maxima opened today, Wednesday October 5, the exhibition “Anna Pavlovna, Colourful Queen” at the Museum Paleis Het Loo in Apeldoorn.
The exhibition was organized to mark the 200th anniversary of the wedding of Anna Pavlovna, daughter of the Tzar Paul I, and Prince of Orange who would become King Willem II. On display in the exhibition were many of Anna Pavlovna’s possessions like jewellery, porcelain, table services, furniture brought from Russia and also man-sized paintings of the Russian Grand Duchess.

Queen Maxima toured through the exhibition accompanied by Paul Rem, the curator of the Musuem, who briefed The Queen and also gave her the book “Anna Pavlovna. A colorful Romanov to the Dutch Court” which was written by himself.
The exhibition will be opened to the public from tomorrow Thursday October 6 to February 5, 2017.Filed under Dutch Royals
