Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg hosted The 5th meeting of the Honorary Board of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) was held today at the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg. Honorary Board Members attending the meeting were HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, HRH Princess Margriet of the Netherlands, HSH Prince Albert of Monaco.
During the meeting, the board members were briefed of the IPC work since 2013, The IPC Strategic Plan 2015-2018 and the progress of the IPC’s development and were also briefed on Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games. Th aboard was also updated on the preparations for Rio 2016, PyeongChang 2018, Tokyo 2020 and Beijing 2022.
Before the meeting took place, HRH the Grand Duke of Luxembourg presented IPC President, Sir Philip Craven with the Officer of the Crown in the Civil and Military Order of Merit of Adolphe of Nassau.
